Questions to ask:

Explain the definition of composition-the composition of something is what it is made of. Have your child look around the house and tell the composition of different items in the house.

Ask your child to identify the composition of the different homes in the book. (wood, brick, glass or metal

1. writing your name
2. practice saying the letters and sounds of the letters in your name when someone points to the letters in random order
3. Review flashcards for all letters
4. Practice writing a few letters

Subtracting

Talk about how the minus sign means to take away.

Use items in the house to work on subtracting

Draw a picture of your house and label the composition(what your house is made of)
