Lady Warrior Athletics
December '24 Report
BASKETBALL IS OFF TO A HOT START
Through the first 13 games of the season, our Lady Warriors are 10-3. Most recently, our girls won 3-4 games in the Savoy tournament before Thanksgiving break. During the break, we advanced to the championship game in the PTAA (Greenville) tournament but fell short and took home the runner-up trophy.
Our sub-varsity teams (7th through JV) have a combined record of 8-5. As of this publication our overall basketball program, grades 7-12, is currently at 18 wins and 8 losses.
Jr. High Basketball sweeps Blue Ridge
Our Jr. High Lady Indians have started the season with a combined record of 5-5. On Monday 12/2, we hosted Blue Ridge and swept the night with 3 victories. These young ladies have been putting in many hours, very early in the mornings, to become better players and get a better understanding of the game. Their commitment to the program certainly bodes well for the future of Bonham Basketball.
Soccer and Power Lifting are underway
Power Lifting practices have begun and on Monday 12/2 we officially began our soccer tryouts. Soccer games will not begin until after the Christmas break, so that gives our coaches plenty of time to assign positions and teach offensive/defensive schemes.
Lady Indians pitching in at Feeding Fannin
It's great to see our young athletes learning life lessons along with athletics. I'm so proud to see these young ladies pitching in to help the community at Feeding Fannin. Thank you to Coach Cathie Patton for being their leader and setting the example.
