Wildcat Weekly Updates

• At Washington, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and regular school attendance is a key factor in reaching that success. We know that students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform well academically, build strong relationships with their peers and teachers, and develop essential life skills.

  To support our students in this journey, we’re excited to announce a new initiative aimed at improving attendance across the school. We’ll be scheduling individual meetings with parents, students, and teachers to set personalized goals and discuss ways to overcome any challenges that may be impacting attendance.

• Please practice safety when picking up and dropping your children off at school. Please do not double park in front of the school. Please use the crosswalks when crossing the street.
• Please cross with our crossing guard in the parking lot. Do not walk in between the cars -for your safety.

• En Washington, creemos que todos los estudiantes merecen la oportunidad de tener éxito, y la asistencia regular a la escuela es un factor importante para alcanzar ese éxito. Sabemos que los estudiantes que asisten a la escuela regularmente tienen más probabilidades de tener un buen desempeño académico, crear relaciones sólidas con sus compañeros y maestros y desarrollar habilidades esenciales para la vida.

  Para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes en este proceso, nos da mucho gusto anunciar una nueva iniciativa destinada a mejorar la asistencia en toda la escuela. Programaremos reuniones individuales con padres, estudiantes y maestros para establecer objetivos personalizados y analizar formas de superar cualquier desafío que pueda afectar la asistencia.

• Por favor, tome precauciones al recoger y dejar a sus hijos en la escuela. No estacione en doble fila frente a la escuela. Utilice los cruces peatonales para cruzar la calle.
• Por favor, cruce con nuestro guardia de cruce en el estacionamiento . Por su seguridad, no camine entre los autos.

Our annual Color Run sponsored by PTA will be next Friday April 11th. This is an event to kick off State Testing . Our 1st through 6th grades students participate in the event. They will need a signed permission slip in order to attend. This is a student only event.

Remember: During State Testing follow these tips!

The time is has come for our students to show what they have learned all year long! Please ensure they arrive on time , eat a healtlhy breakfast, and are well rested. Testing Dates - April 14-25.

5th graders must take an additional Science Test.

Lodi USD has released a new Middle School Course Catalog! It includes information about core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, and foreign languages (available at select sites). Please note that elective offerings vary by school, and site staff will provide additional details. The catalog also includes information about A-G requirements to help families understand college and career readiness. While the College/Career Indicator (CCI) and Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways are part of high school, middle school is a great time to start thinking about future opportunities.

Congratulations to our essay winners! Thank you to Radiant Life Church and Pastor Roberts for providing the funding and the opportunity for students to shop for a community member in need. This teaches our students how to think of others and help our community. They also provided brand new slippers for students!
