Fall Semester Exams and Exemptions
Semester Exam Exemption Window will Open on the December 5th closes on the December 7th -
Any absence notes have to be turned in by November 30th to the attendance office.
Absences notes for the 1st or 4th have to be turned in the same day
Important Note: Starting this year, Extenuating Circumstances (code X) will no longer count against a student when determining eligibility for exam exemptions. As a result of this change, there will be no appeals process.
- Exam exemption App will open on December 5th and close on December 7th

Yearbook Photos
Lifetouch will be on campus November 1-2 Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors.
Students will proceed to the camera by English class following the schedule below:
- Underclassmen (9th-11th grade): 11/1-2/23
Students will receive flyers from their English teachers. Teachers will accompany their students to the auditorium for photos on their assigned days. Students will check in electronically at a computer to the right of the stage.
Picture Make-up Dates:
- Seniors January 10th
- 9th-11th grade January 11th

Roosevelt Family Specialist
Melissa Mendiola is Roosevelt's Family Engagement Specialist. She is available to assist with any needs or issues in a student's home life that can negatively affect a student's ability to excel at school. She is able to provide support and services for all students and their families, creating a true connection between home, school, and community. The family specialist's role is to bridge the gap of communication between parents, the school, and the community and provide resources to families who are experiencing barriers, and to empower all parents to fulfill their role as child’s first teacher.

UT Health School Virtual Care Program
Roosevelt High School students and their parents and caregivers have a fantastic opportunity coming this Fall! Without leaving school, your child can have a medical appointment with a top-notch UT Health medical expert. Parents and Caregivers can join the appointment from home, work, or anywhere all through telemedicine. This service is brought to the Roosevelt through a unique partnership with the School District and UT Health San Antonio Pediatrics, the largest group of pediatricians in South Texas.
