- Our awesome 9th grade students learned about several career clusters at our annual Career Inspire Field Trip to Cedar Rapids.

Attention 10th Graders: Career Caravan is Coming!
10th Grade Career Caravan
On December 17th, 10th graders will attend our annual Career Caravan trip. At this event, there will be nearly 30 career presentations and students will get to choose two presentations to attend. Each presentation will be 25 minutes long and will be led by career professionals from our local community. Students will miss periods 4 and 5 to attend this event!

Action Steps For Seniors (Class of 2025)
- Start a High School resume - Sample resumes and templates can be found here.
- Meet with your School Counselor as soon as possible so they can be sure to help you with your next steps.
- Consider asking 2-3 teachers to write you a letter of recommendation. It is good to get ahead of this before you apply to college or for jobs in the workforce.

Common Questions Answered
What are City High’s graduation requirements? You need at least 305 credits to graduate. This includes: 4 years of English, 3 years of Math, 3 years of Science and 3 years of Social Studies. Each class per trimester earns you 5 credits if you pass.
How does a PE waiver work? There are several types of PE waivers - Academic, Athletic, and Medical (Documentation Required). Athletic waivers, mean students finished a full-season in a Fall, Winter or Spring sport. Academic waiver is applied ONLY if a student has 7 classes EACH trimester for the year. Stop by the guidance office for a PE Waiver or make an appointment with your counselor if you have any questions.
What’s an easy way to apply to college? www.commonapp.org allows you to apply to multiple colleges with one application.
How do I send my transcript to a college, the NCAA, or a potential employer?
- Current students and the Class of 2024 are able to have transcripts sent at no charge by completing this Student Transcript Request Form.
- Former students can order official transcripts using MySchoolBucks. There is a $3 fee.
