A Note from Mr. Gregorio
Hello Paradise Ridge Elementary School Parents,
We are enjoying an amazing start to our school year, and I greatly appreciate the entire school community's efforts in making it great for our students. During the first week of the school year, I asked the students what the important part of school was. Though great responses were provided (kindness, respect, learning, etc.), the important part of our school is us, our community. During the review of the schoolwide expectations, students were reminded that we all must work together to ensure that all of us have "the greatest school year ever."
For August, students are discussing the importance of kindness, which we define as acting with understanding, generosity, and care. Throughout the school year, the students are encouraged to understand and appreciate those around them. Through understanding and empathy, kindness is more likely to be evident. Here is a great resource if you would like to read more about how we can support our children by showing kindness to all.
On behalf of the Paradise Ridge Elementary School team, thank you for entrusting us with the care and education of your children.
Ed Gregorio,Principal

“Because I’m a Girl on the Run, I know I am stronger than anyone anticipated.” -Allison.
This fall, gift the GOTR experience to your 3rd, 4th, or 5th-grade girl!
Parents/Guardians – Our school will host a Girls on the Run team this fall for girls in grades 3-5.
Registration is currently open on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis and will stay open until we reach an entire team of 15 or September 20th - whichever comes first.
Girls on the Run is WAY more than a running program. Through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games taught by certified Girls on the Run coaches, Girls on the Run is a safe, supportive place for your girl to build her CONFIDENCE, CONNECT with peers who turn into friends, and learn LIFE SKILLS to help her navigate her world.
Meeting twice a week in small teams of 8-15 girls, running teaches girls how to set a goal, work toward it and accomplish it while encouraging lifelong health and fitness and building confidence through accomplishment.
Volunteer coaches follow a research-based curriculum that covers topics such as:
● how to turn negative self-talk into positive self-talk
● how to understand their emotions
● how to choose good friends and be a good friend
● how to show gratitude and express empathy
● how to deal with gossip and handle peer pressure
● and SO MUCH MORE!
At the season's conclusion, the girls will complete a 5K (3.1 miles) fun run on Saturday, Nov. 9th. Completing the 5K gives the girls a tangible sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals. The result is making the seemingly impossible possible and teaching girls they CAN.
Our fall season will begin the week of Sept 9th, 2024. Practices will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-3:45 PM.
Teams are limited to 15 girls.
Register your girl as soon as registration opens to guarantee her spot. To register your girl and for more information, visit: www.gotrNorthState.org. Cost per girl is $225, but thanks to special funding, each girl will be able to participate for only $25 regardless of household income. The program fee includes the ten-week program (20 lessons + all program materials), registration for the end-of-season 5K event, a shirt, and a finisher’s medal.
Have your girl grab her running shoes and join the Girls on the Run team! Questions: call 530-636-0786 or email info@gotrnorthstate.org.
GIRLS ON THE RUN IS SO MUCH FUN!
