NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 10 EDITION
WEEK 10 REFLECTION
It is hard to believe we have reached the conclusion of the first marking period. It means that a quarter of the year has come to a close. For our students, they have begun to forge a path for the year academically, socially and emotionally. Throughout the journey there are going to be times where they may stray off the path in various directions as they are faced with questions, assignments, relationships and other societal factors. There will be challenges that may try to keep them from making progress on their goals. Sometimes, the path will be longer for some than others. The same can be true for teachers, administrators, parents and community members.
As we take little break for an extended weekend, Monday begins a new marking period. A new marking period presents new opportunities. It is a key time to stay focused and to push forward with purpose. Every assignment that is completed, every class that is attended/taught, and every effort we make, adds up to our overall success. Moving forward doesn’t just mean getting through each day—it’s about making smart decisions and putting in our best work. The end of a marking period is a great time to reflect on what has been accomplished so far, but to also think about where we can improve.
We have navigated a new start time, a new schedule, new classes, new friendships, a new school for our Grade 9 students and maybe for some, a new sport/job. However the first marking period turned out for you, keep your goals in mind, stay organized and stay determined. The path ahead is bright! Keep moving forward as we adapt, evolve and excel! #nocknation
