📚 Next Week's Learning Adventures 📚
Phonics Fun: This week, we will explore s-blends and build on our sight words. You can practice some words with your child at home: spot, spin, smell, small, snap, snake, skip, and skate. 🐍✨
Reading Rockets: In Reading, we will begin discussing central ideas and supporting details in biographies. We will also deepen our understanding by examining the cover page and pictures, and thinking of questions before reading. When reading with your child at night, encourage them to look at the cover, take a picture walk, and think about any questions they may have about the story. After reading, ask them to retell the characters, setting, problems, solutions, and what happened at the beginning, middle, and end! 📖🔍
Math Marvels: We are starting Unit Two, where students will learn about addition and subtraction using numerals up to 10. They will practice counting on to solve addition problems and counting back to solve subtraction problems using a number line. ➕➖
