Hopefully by now you have received a special envelope in the mail that has your child's October Leading Lions awards. Teacher's acknowledge students with exceptional behavior with a Leading Lion award that they bring down to the office and add to our jar. At the end of the month, we draw five names for Pizza with Mrs. Burns. The remaining awards are then mailed home so that kids can get an extra dose of praise at home for their awesome behavior.

Our October and November winners are pictured below and will get their pizza on Friday, December 9th during their lunch period.

In lieu of spirit wear, students and staff may wear holiday attire with their jeans on Fridays during the month of December.

The students voted and picked a design. We will be placing an order for T-shirts and Hoodies on December 16th. All orders will be ready for pick up when we return after the holidays! T-shirts are $15 each and Hoodies are $25 (Extended sizes XXL & XXXL add $3).

We are excited to pilot a new kind of fundraiser just in time for the holiday season. With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we want to encourage you to take some time out just to hang out at home with family (and friends if you like). The idea is that we will do the work of creating a fun activity to make your night complete. In order to keep the cost down, we need volunteers to donate items as well as help with sorting and assembling. We hope this will be the first of many Family Night In fundraisers to come. This month's activity is a sugar cone Christmas Tree Kit. Each kit will come with a sugar cone, icing, and candy to decorate. Students will be able to choose the candies they want from a candy bar here at school and then take the entire kit home to enjoy on December 9th. Each kit will cost $5 and can be pre-ordered below by December 8th.

Again this year, we will be a drop off location for some much needed items for three of our local charities--The Fannin County Children's Center, The Fannin County Crisis Center, and The Fannin County Pregnancy Center. This year rather than the paper tags we did last year, we are doing a virtual sign up. Each year, we ask these charities to identify the items they need most throughout the year. The items that are needed have been listed and you can pick and choose the items you would like to bring. The Children's Center has asked for jeans in a variety of sizes, The Crisis Center for shelf stable milk and canned meats, and the Pregnancy Center for wipes, specific sizes of diapers, and formula. Simply purchase the items and drop them off here at MSA. Our kids will be delivering and helping them to put them away.

We will be having a fun day at MSA on Friday, December 9th. We will be watching a movie, taking pictures, making an ornament, and doing brain boosting Christmas activities in the classroom. Please send your child to school in school appropriate pajamas and shoes. Please make sure to check the weather that day since we will still go outside for recess. We look forward to building memories and starting an MSA Christmas Tradition.
