Alternative Income Forms - Replacing Free/Reduced Forms for CEP Schools
Alternative income forms are completed by families in replacement of free and reduced-price meal applications when a school utilizes the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows schools to serve all students breakfast and lunch at no cost without collecting meal applications from families. Redding is currently a CEP school where all students receive free lunch and breakfast. Alternative income forms are used for programs and funding sources that previously relied on free and reduced forms, the information from these forms specifically help fund instructional assistants (aids), teachers, and our instructional coach, which have a significant impact on student outcomes. Filling out the Alternative Income Application may also help qualify you for SUN Bucks (Summer Food Stamp Benefits- it is never too early to be thinking about Summer Food). Please click HERE to complete the application (the application says online free & reduced school meals application) and help Redding receive more funding! **Discliamer: If you fill out the form and get a return email with the following message: "Please DO NOT fill out an application for free or reduced price meals for the child(ren) listed above" that means you are more than likely already directly certified. Nothing needs to be done following this.**
Please call Mrs. Stahl with any questions or help with the online application.
