EDUCATION THAT WORKS!
Staff of the Week!
This week's "Staff of the Week" is Stephanie Olsen. Stephanie was nominated by their colleagues who said:
Stephanie is genuine and caring for all students and coworkers.
Stephanie's thoughtful planning provides students with the structure they need to access every program in our center while also supporting their growth in math, science and all of the soft skills that will allow them to be successful in the future.
Congratulations Stephanie!
Annual Surveys
Each January we collect information from our Community Members, Employers/Industry Partners, Parents, Staff and Students to help us understand how we are doing and inform future plans. We do this with surveys to gather input form a variety of stakeholders. Please take a moment to respond to the survey that best applies to your role:
(Staff and Student Surveys will be shared at a later date)

Opportunities for Students: Times Argus
Every other Wednesday during the school year, The Times Argus donates a full page to a School District/Supervisory Union. This year CVCC has been added back into the loop! The Times Argus is looking for content for these publications to be provided by students, faculty and staff, with a focus on highlights of CVCC students and their projects.
Students can submit projects that they are working on themselves or, if you have a project that your class is working on that you/your class would like to submit you are welcome to as well!
CVCC will be published on March 12th. Students/classes interested in participating or learning more please email Anna Ryan.
Submissions for this publication should be by no means a public notice or advertisement. The focus should not be on central office business, administrative initiatives, board business, budget appeals or sports.
Sending School Closures
A reminder: Even if your sending school has planned closure, such as Professional Development or School Vacation, and CVCC is open students are expected to attend their CVCC program. You can find school calendar differences on our public calendar.
Snow Days & Delays
If adverse weather conditions cause school to be closed or delayed, an announcement will be made by the Superintendent by 6:30 AM on local television station WCAX and Facebook. Everyone should also receive an automated phone message. If you do not receive a message please call and inform us so we can take care of it.
With a delayed day, the Central Vermont Career Center will begin classes at 9:45 a.m. Breakfast will be available from 9:20-9:40am.
If a sending high school is closed due to bad weather, their students will not be driving to the Career Center in bad weather. Students will be given administrative absence.
If a sending high school has a late start due to bad weather and is sending a bus to CVCC then students are expected to attend CVCC and will be given an administrative tardy.
