Google Takeout

As we approach the end of the year, seniors need to know that they can use Google Takeout to download and transfer everything that they have created under their LMTSD google account (which will be longer be active after June 30th) to a personal Google Account or compressed file. To accomplish this follow the steps below or watch the video.

Go to https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout. Log in with your LMTSD Google Account email and password.

You can select everything or choose which services you want to download from by clicking on “select all” or individually checking the services you wish to download.

Click Next to submit your data takeout request. Customize your takeout by choosing file type (.zip is the default), your archive size (useful if you are using a thumb drive) and your delivery method (you can receive an email, have it saved to drive, have it sent to Onedrive or have it sent to dropbox). If you have it sent to your drive you can later drag & drop your archive into a different Google Drive Account.

The downloads are pretty quick - less than a few minutes for any download. Be sure to take note of the “Available Until” date after which your archive will no longer be available.
