This Week In Band
Home Game vs. Cedar Hill (9/6)
We have a home game vs. Cedar Hill on Friday (5:15pm Call Time)! We will be performing the traditional show along with Rockin' Robin (for the Tallenettes) and Bang Bang (for the colorguard). We will wear our traditional show uniforms for this week's game. Students will be required to bring the following items as part of the traditional show uniform:
- Long sleeve blue traditional show shirt
- Black athletic shorts
- Long, plain black socks
- Marching band shoes
- Gloves will be in your shako (hat) box
- Long hair must be up: Hair video 1. Hair Video 2.
No School/No Rehearsal on Monday, Sept 2
Monday, September 2nd is Labor day and a school holiday for students and staff. We will not have morning rehearsal on Monday, September 2nd. We'll see everyone at 7am on Tuesday!
Tailgate 2024
Tailgate is Monday, September 9, at 7pm (AHS Track Stadium)! AHS/LFC Call-Time is 6:45pm in drill team block. Attire: Escadrille Dri-Fit, khaki shorts, and athletic shoes.
Come see over 1000 students play together!! Middle school bands get a taste of high school marching playing with the Biggest Band in the Land! Get a hamburger or hot dog meal with chips and a bottle of water for $5.00. Part of the proceeds from this meal will be donated back to the school of your choice: Allen HS, Curtis MS, Ereckson MS, or Ford MS.

Spring Trip Updates & Information
Payments can be submitted through the following ways:
- Drop a check or cash in the AHS Band safe. (Checks made payable to Allen ISD, driver's license # in the memo)
- Mail a payment to: Allen High School Band; 300 Rivercrest Blvd, Allen, TX 75002 (attn: Susan Fulk)
- Credit Card or Debit Card payment through SchoolPay - link below (a fee will be included in the final payment)
Obligations and Fees
If you have any obligations from fees or past charges, please make those payments. Band staff will begin calling parents of students that have any obligations this week. Please note that if sales tax was not added to the fees, students have been charged the sales tax as an obligation. Students will not be able to participate in games if payments have not been made. According to the 2024-2025 Band Handbook:
"Students with outstanding balance for program fees will not be allowed to participate in program activities unless there is a payment plan in place with the program director. Lack of participation will lead to removal from the program at the beginning of the next grading period."

Membership Meeting
Join us for the first membership meeting of the year Tuesday, September 3, at 7:00 pm in the band hall. Get an update on ABBA business and hear Dr. Obado talk about the programs.
2024 Donation Drive
Our goal for the 2024 Donation Drive is 100% participation. Some students have not signed up. Please follow the following directions to sign up and start receiving donations. This fundraiser allows the boosters to fund items essential to the band and colorguard programs such as props, materials, equipment, meals, music, scholarships, guest clinical travel and more.
- Currently the BASS CLARINET section is in the lead for the pizza party!!
- We are $10,000 away from our donut goal. Keep getting those donations!
- Ice cream for everyone is getting closer! 61% of our 80% goal of participation. Keep reaching out to those supporters!

After-Dinner Mint Concert (10/22)
Mark your calendars for the After Dinner MInt Concert. This free concert will take place in the PAC Commons on Tuesday, October 22, from 6-8pm.
