A Note from Mrs. McClure
What a fun and exciting, but busy time of the year for everyone! These past few weeks, we have been taking time to reflect on all the ways that we can spread kindness, love, and appreciation for those around us through random acts of kindness. Today, we celebrated during our Grinchmas Celebration! Students shared how they have been growing their hearts three sizes together in their Alward teams and with our guest readers. We would like to extend a special shout out to our animated guest readers that read How the Grinch Stole Christmas to all of our students. We appreciate your willingness to read to our students and open up about how you are growing your heart as well!
Finally, I would like to recognize Kennedy Thompson for sharing her passion and love of reading with the school board last night and her idea about starting lending libraries throughout the district! She did a wonderful job sharing how important reading is to help our students grow as learners. Her vision will hopefully come to fruition this spring! Thank you Kennedy for doing such a great job representing our school and being a student leader.
As we draw closer to winter break, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday! Enjoy time with your family and friends.
Happy Holidays,
Melanie McClure
