For students’ safety, Parents are required to sign a student out at the office when removing them from school.

• Students will remain in the classroom until Parents arrive to maximize instructional time.
• When anyone other than a Parent is picking up a student, they MUST have a note from a Parent. The school may contact the parent to confirm the Parent’s request.
• A Parent may also call the office and authorize the person listed as an emergency contact to pick up their student.
• Schools use Raptor as a security measure when students check in or out of school during the day.
• Picture ID will be required for anyone picking up a student

Flowers, plants, balloons, food, or other deliveries to students will not be accepted due to student allergies, storage, disruption to the school day. (i.e., Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.)

Please note this also includes invitations. If you are choosing to send those to school, you will need to have your child deliver to peers before the day begins or at the end of the day.

Notice of Change in Lunchtime Practices

As we continue to grow, we've encountered space limitations during lunch periods, particularly in most of our grade levels. To ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for all students, we are making some adjustments to our lunchtime practices this year.

New Guidelines:

• Lunchroom Access: Unfortunately, due to the large numbers, we are unable to accommodate parents in the lunchroom at this time.
• Alternative Options: We are pleased to offer an outdoor picnic area at the front of the school when the weather permits. Additionally, you are welcome to check your child out for a special lunch or car lunch during their lunch/recess period. We kindly ask that students return promptly to ensure they don’t miss valuable instructional time. Volunteer for a recess game or event with your child.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate these changes with our growing population. Rest assured, we are actively working on providing many opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year, and we look forward to seeing you at various events.

New this year, we have an automated system for calls! Don't worry, we are still answering calls as the first option; we know talking to someone right away is important. However, after business hours our phone to immediately change to an automated system. During business hours, the automated voicemail system will pick up after 4 rings, indicating that the front office staff is either on the phone or helping someone in the office.

You will have the option of the following when the automated system answers:

Press 1 for Office

Press 2 for Attendance

Press 3 for Health Office

Press 4 for Transportation

If you are simply calling to report your child's attendance, you may call 208-350-4498.

Help us make sure kids are in school and ready to learn. Attendance is one of the greatest factors in student success.

Parents, thank you for reaching out to work with us on a safe plan to help you feel comfortable when dropping off and picking up, while the PVE staff also works to maintain the safety of the playground area. We have included a picture to help with the area in which you may be on campus for drop off and pick up. We do ask that you not come before 8:45 (9:05 on Wednesday) or 3:55 to enter the staging area on the campus and that you stay in the assigned space.

Here is the plan: There will be TWO locations. One for AM (ORANGE LINE) and one for PM (RED LINE). Thank you for helping with this as we have more students on campus in the am.

• You may enter at 8:45 (9:05 on Wednesdays) or 3:55
  
• Stay in the assigned area (ORANGE for AM/ RED for PM)
• Stay on the outer lane of the walking path or grass area along the fence, allowing students to transition on the interior lane of our Run/Walk path
• Please keep the area of the exit clear for people to come and go
• No animals may be on campus and should not be at the exit point
• Younger children may not be on the playground or field and must remain with the adult

Our neighbors often voice concerns regarding speeding, trash in yards, and people parking in the driveways of others. We ask that you help us to be good neighbors. We know parents are dropping off and picking up in other areas of the neighborhood and that the pick-up line can back up and cause traffic to block neighbors.

PLEASE make sure you are:

• Leaving crosswalks open
• Do not block hydrants, driveways, or mailboxes
• SLOWING downs and be extra vigilant about students and bikes

*Please remember that driveways are personal property, and you should not be parking and waiting for your child in someone's driveway, nor should you be blocking a driveway. Although these are public streets, we would like to make sure PVE is in good standing with our surrounding neighbors.

It's very important that you and your child review and understand the West Ada Dress Code Policy before the first day of school to avoid any possible disciplinary actions. To review the dress code in its entirety, please click here.
