Toys are to stay at home and are not permitted at school. These items tend to distract student learning and become available for theft. The school is not liable for any items brought to school.

Also, school provided breakfast and lunch must be eaten on campus and cannot be taken home. TK and Kindergarten families are reminded that they need to eat with their student in the cafeteria or on the benches in the quad.

Our Student store is kicking off this week and we need donations to help keep this store going. The store is used as part of our behavior incentives for students.

School Site Council develops, annually reviews, and updates the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Thus, School Site Council provides guidance for the budget at Coyle in order to ensure that students are supported on our campus. The council is made up of the Principal, Teachers, School Staff, and Parents. Please nominate yourself or another parent using the form below.

We have elected three parents/guardians and are in need of two more parents to be on our School Site Council. If you are interested, please reach out to the office.

Our first meeting is next Tuesday, September 24th at 2:30pm in the staff room.

Coyle now offers band-aids in a variety of shades that reflect the diversity of our school to emphasize that everyone deserves to feel seen and represented in the products they use.

The "Diversity in Healing" project is centered around inclusive band-aids that celebrate the rich spectrum of human skin tones.

This campaign aims to promote a message of visibility, acceptance, and inclusivity in everyday healthcare products.

Address Changes ( Open all year round )

Any family who has an address change within SJUSD or who moves out of the district and wants to stay within SJUSD schools.

If a family moves out of SJUSD and wishes to stay in SJUSD schools, they must submit and Interdistrict Transfer Permit (ITP) from the new resident district ( Go to the new resident district to be released ) and then fill out our online Interdistrict Transfer form and upload a copy of the release paperwork you filled out for the new resident district.

Would you like to volunteer in the classroom or on field trips? We are recommending that you do it now as the process takes 2-6 weeks to be finalized. You will only need to do this process once while you are in the San Juan District.

The District will reach out with the additional steps that you may need to do such as Fingerprinting.

Please remember that the process takes 2-6 weeks after fingerprinting. You cannot volunteer until you have been fingerprinted and cleared so the sooner the better!

San Juan Central Food Closet

The San Juan Unified food closet is located at the Central Enrollment Center (3700 Garfield Ave. in Carmichael) and serves families who are in need of non-perishable food items.

Hours:

Open year round, Monday through Friday (8:30 am - 2:00 pm)
Closed on non-school days and holidays. If you are unavailable at these times or need further assistance, please email Veronica Allen (veronica.allen@sanjuan.edu)

Our Coyle PTA supports our Teachers, Classrooms, and Students throughout the school year.

Each membership is $7.00. Coyle receives $2.00 from each online membership and the PTA National Organization receives the remainder. You can also pay with cash or check in the office and 100% of the membership fees to go back to our school.
