Starting July 1, 2024, student registrations will be handled by individual home school registrars. Please visit www.sbschools.org for more information.
BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - TONIGHT, THURSDAY, JUNE 13th, 2024
The next Board of Education Meeting will be this evening, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Board meetings will continue to be streamed live and can be accessed on the website prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
At this meeting we will be recognizing our retirees and approving and re-adopting the 2024-2025 School Budget.
GRADUATING STUDENTS WITH MYSCHOOLBUCKS BALANCES
If you have a student who is graduating from the South Brunswick School District this year with a balance in MySchoolBucks, you can request a refund or transfer the funds to a sibling's account.
Refunds take approximately 3-4 weeks.
Please note that if your child's account is on auto pay, you must cancel the auto payment option on MySchoolBucks immediately or it may auto generate another payment. This step must be completed prior to sending the refund or transfer request.

CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL NEWS
REPLENISH FOOD DRIVE
Cambridge School, South Brunswick High School and Crossroads South Middle School placed 2nd, 4th & 8th respectively and were recognized last Thursday at the Middlesex County Board of Commissioners Meeting. Pictured are members of the Cougar Council, as they were recognized at the meeting.
CAMBRIDGE COUGAR COUNCIL "DINING FOR DOLLARS"
The Cambridge School Cougar Council is collaborating with Confectionately Yours on Wednesday, June 19th for their 2nd Annual "DINING FOR DOLLARS" Fundraiser from 11:30 am - 8:30 pm.
Mention Cambridge School and a percentage of all food and ice cream sales will come back to the Cougar Council.
SBPAL CHEER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

GREEN GOOD GUARDIANS INITIATIVE
Do your students have unused notebooks that you will end up throwing in the trash? If so, we have a recycling option for you to consider. Each school has a collection box for a non-profit, started by a student in East Brunswick, Green Good Guardians is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices, supporting education, and uplifting the community. the SecondVerse Initiative: an innovative and sustainable program whose mission is to collect partially/underused notebooks from the community and repurpose them into SecondVerse Notebooks. STILL TIME TO REGISTER FOR OUR LITTLE VIKINGS PLAYSCHOOL
This South Brunswick High School program offers 3-½ to 5-year-old children a preschool experience emphasizing science, math, literacy, pretend play, physical education, and art. Through the "Tools of the Mind" "curriculum and the creative and fun activities our high school students plan for their "Little Buddies," children build social-emotional skills while being nurtured by compassionate future teachers.
Little Vikings Playschool starts mid-October and runs through the end of May, Wednesdays through Fridays from 11:35 am to 2:00 pm. The entire year costs $400, an excellent value for this high-quality program. Spaces are limited, so act fast to secure a spot for your child.

41st ANNUAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS TORCH RUN
The 41st Annual Special Olympics Torch Run was held this past Friday. Our Middle and High School students participated along with officers and staff from the South Brunswick Police Department. The mission of the torch run is to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics New Jersey. What an amazing event!
