Dear Rosemont Parents and Community Members,

I hope you all are doing well and know that I truly appreciate you and your dedication to our students and the Rosemont community. As you may be aware, Rosemont Lower will become a PK-2 campus for the 2023-2024 school year and we are looking for a new leader to serve as Principal.

As we are going through the process of selecting the next principal for Rosemont Lower, it is imperative that we gain parent and community input to create the principal profile that will guide the selection process, and ensure candidates demonstrate skills that meet campus needs.

To gain your input in the process, I would like to invite you to a meeting on Monday, May 1, at 6:00 p.m. in the Rosemont Lower Library. Please take a few minutes to review the following articles, in preparation for the meeting. At the conclusion of the meeting, I will share a survey where you can provide your insights and input.

The tentative timeline for principal selection process is the following, while dates are subject to change the goal will be to present our final candidate to Dr. Elizalde’s panel by the end of May.

Estimados padres y miembros de la comunidad de La escuela de Rosemont Lower,

Espero que se encuentren bien, también quiero expresarles mi aprecio y agradecimiento por su dedicación con nuestros estudiantes y la comunidad de Rosemont. Quizás ya están enterados que a partir del año entrante 2023-2024, las escuelas de Rosemont tendrán unos cambios en la configuración de las escuelas. La escuela de Lower volverá a ser de los grados Prekínder hasta el Segundo grado, por ende, estamos en busca de un nuevo director para el próximo año.

Durante el proceso de selección del próximo director de Rosemont Lower, es fundamental que obtengamos la opinión de los padres y la comunidad con el fin de elaborar el perfil del director que guiará el proceso de selección, y así poder cerciorarnos de que los candidatos demuestren tener las aptitudes necesarias para cumplir con las necesidades de la escuela.

Me gustaría invitarlos a una reunión para conocer su opinión sobre el proceso el lunes 1 de mayo a las 6:00 p.m. en la biblioteca de la escuela Lower. En preparación para la reunión, es importante que revise los artículos a continuación. Al final de la reunión, compartiré una encuesta en la que podrá aportar sus ideas y opiniones.

El calendario provisional para el proceso de selección del director es el siguiente, aunque las fechas están sujetas a cambios, el objetivo será presentar nuestro candidato final al comité de la Dra. Elizalde a finales del mes de mayo.

If you have registered with Big Thought please communicate with your child's teacher when they will begin to stay in aftercare. We also have the Pik My Kid app where you can make changes to their mode of pick up after school.

Students will be dismissed using the PikMyKid app again this year. If your student is returning to Rosemont, your dismissal number will be the same as last year. New cards will be sent home on the first day of school, but you may write your student number on a sheet of paper or display it on the app when coming through the carpool line. New students will receive a dismissal number from their teacher, or you may call the office to ask what your student dismissal number is.

Please display student numbers at dismissal time so that students can get to the right vehicle.

Please note the following dismissal locations for LOWER CAMPUS

K-3rd Car Riders will dismiss out the Main Entrance

Pre-K Car Riders will dismiss out the Cafe Entrance (outside lane if no K-3 siblings)

Walkers (No parking in front of school) Across crosswalk

Please do not park on Stevens Forest Drive during dismissal time. We are asking for patience this week as we are navigating the addition of third grade to our campus, which will increase the volume of cars in the car lane.
