The Senior Class will be raffling off 11 Priority Parking Spots for some of the closest spots in the student parking lot (see image below). In order to have an opportunity to win a spot, students who have met all parking permit requirements, may purchase as many raffle tickets as you would like (1 ticket for $3.00 or 2 tickets for $5.00). Tickets may be purchased with the bookkeeper during schedule preview on August 7, 2024. After Schedule Preview, tickets can be purchased with the bookkeeper in A125 during regular school hours through Wednesday, August 28th. The drawing will take place on Thursday, August 29th. Winners will then be notified next steps at that time. If a student’s name is drawn but they have not completed the required parking pass documentation, another name will be drawn in their place. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your own parking spot and get your required paperwork in!

Stay Informed & Involved!
As you gear up for back-to-school shopping and the excitement of a new school year, why not make a difference too? Set aside your gently used clothes, shoes, bags, and linens and donate them to the CCHS Phill the Box event in early August. Your contributions will directly support the CCHS scholarship fund.
CCISD Calendar and Attendance
When planning trips and events this school year, please pay close attention to the CCISD calendar. This will help ensure that your student meets the Texas Education Agency attendance requirements (minimum of 90% excused or unexcused), reduces impact on learning progress, and helps them qualify for any exam exemptions they may be eligible for.
The CCISD calendar and exemption criteria are included below. Additional information regarding attendance requirements can be found here.
Electronics Expectations
Last school year, we focused on minimizing distractions to create a more productive learning environment by requiring students to put their devices away during instructional time. Although we made significant progress, there is still room for improvement in maintaining consistent practices. Therefore, CCHS classrooms will remain electronic-free zones (with the exception of laptops at teacher discretion) when we return to class in August.
Students will be allowed to use their electronic devices before and after school, during passing periods, and during lunches. Teachers will have a designated spot for student electronic devices during class time. All students will be reminded of specific expectations when we return, and we will share this information with families.
We appreciate your support of our efforts to reduce distractions and increase opportunities for student success.
