Dear CRUNFamily,
Thursday night's Art and Culture night was a beautiful way to end our week. We had so many families from our CRUNFamily come and represent their heritage and share food and other artifacts from their country. Mrs. Joines also held a fabulous night of creativity with lots of projects that our kids got to participate in from pottery to jewelry making. Thank you to Laura Butler, who ran the hallway crafts which were a big hit with our kids! A huge thank you to Allena Kendall, Hila Hasid and Lulu Gao for organizing culture night and Megan Norradin and Abby Durrant for running the entry table and pizza and Holly Quirk for helping run a craft table along with other high school volunteers. Also a thank you to the families who put together a table to represent their family's culture. France, Kozlovic Fam; Netherlands, Myers Fam; Israel, Hasid Fam; Ukraine, Sivkov Fam; Mexico, Diaz Fam; Bolivia, Fernandez Rodriguez & Matias Fam; Brazil, Kenzors & Tiltons; Peru, Martinez Fam; Russia, Elovikova Fam; Germany, Henderson Fam; Iraq , Noraddin Fam; and Colombia, Lopez & Fonseca-Machado Fam were all represented by our families. This fabulous night of art and culture has become an annual tradition at Cougar Run and gets better every year!

Come Be a Watch Dog Dad!!!
A pride and joy at Cougar Run is our Watch Dog Dads program that is headed up by none other than Mr. Matt, our Campus Security Specialist. Dads and male role models are so needed in elementary schools and we are so glad to have these special men coming into our school to be extra layers of safety as well as incredible role models for our kids. It is such a fun way for dads, uncles, grandpas and father figures to get involved at school and help us keep eyes and ears on our kids to ensure they have a safe and loving place to learn and grow. If you are interested in being a Watch Dog Dad, SIGN UP HERE Matt will train you on the spot when you come in. We look forward to having you join the team of great male role models here at CRUN!
