May Recap
Dear Readers,
April's showers have brought us so many flowers (metaphorically and physically) y'all! Our annual Spring for Children Fundraising event was memorable, successful, and an absolute blast. Bingo Night saw much laughter, prizes, and family fun. We have embraced warm weather days out in the sunshine increasing our outdoor recreational programming. MLC children took part in fun and exciting springtime programming such as planting in the community garden, nature walks and wildlife sightings, as well as tie dying shirts and flying kites. As summer approaches, we have some exciting community events (York's Wild Kingdom!) coming and we plan to fill our families' schedules with new and engaging activities. Stay posted for all there is to come!
All our best,
Your Team at MLC
Spring For Children
Spring for Children Recap
Our Spring for Children event held on Thursday, May 18th at Somernova was a night filled with amazing people, raffles, and memories of MLC's good friend Stephenson or "Hollywood" Aman. Roughly 70 folks attended the event consisting of our community partners, good friends and families of the MLC, sponsors, and our hard-working staff members. Speeches for our Rising Star parents and staff members denoted the staff chosen for being the most helpful and devoted individuals this year. We spent a night filled with community, delicious food, and beyond with all proceeds going towards our organization. We cannot thank our sponsors, donors, families and friends enough. We will have more information on Spring for Children to come!
