Mr. Matthew Perrapato
Dear Royal Knight Staff and Families,
I hope this message finds you well and refreshed after a rejuvenating Spring Break spent with your loved ones. As we transition into the month of May, I would like to take a moment to remind everyone about the upcoming NJSLA Testing.
Preparations for the NJSLA Testing are underway, and it's imperative that we collectively ensure our students are ready for this important assessment. Our dedicated teachers have worked tirelessly to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in these tests, and I am confident in their efforts.
We recognize the significance of these assessments in providing valuable insights into our students' academic progress and the effectiveness of our instructional programs. Therefore, I urge all students to approach these tests with confidence and focus, knowing that they have been diligently prepared for success.
Parents and guardians, your continued support and encouragement are invaluable during this time. Please reinforce the importance of these assessments with your children and help create a conducive environment for their preparation and performance.
As a school community, let us rally together to support our students and educators during this time. Together, we can ensure that our students showcase their full potential and achieve the success they deserve.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the success of our students.
Your School Superintendent,
Matthew A. Perrapato

Tips to set up your child for success!
Ensure a good night's sleep: Establish a consistent bedtime routine leading up to the test day to promote restful sleep, enhancing cognitive function and memory retention.
Charge your Chromebook: Avoid last-minute technical hiccups by ensuring that electronic devices, such as Chromebooks or laptops, are fully charged the night before the test to minimize stress on test day.
Eat a nutritious breakfast: Fuel the brain with a balanced breakfast rich in protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats to sustain energy levels and optimize focus and concentration during the test.
Arrive at school on time: Plan ahead and account for potential delays in transportation or traffic to ensure students arrive at school with ample time to settle in, reducing anxiety and allowing for a calm and composed start to the testing process.
Provide positive support and affirmations: Offer words of encouragement, express confidence in the student's abilities, and emphasize the importance of effort rather than solely focusing on outcomes to cultivate a positive mindset and alleviate test-related stress.
Look out for a special video for families and students to get them ready for NJSLA testing from the Little Ferry Staff!
