New Information

We had a great few days back at Young Elementary! It is cold outside but we still go outside for recess. Remember to send coats/jackets with names in them. You can find our weather chart below that we use to determine IF and for how long we go outside for recess. If you are planning ahead, remember we have no school on January 20th due to MLK day.

A new semester might mean new school supplies for your child. If a student/class is out of a supply, teachers will notify you. We do our best to plan ahead occasionally need additional items like tissues or replacement headphones.

Did you know that students can access the Library and Music Google Classroom from home. See links below! The Library classroom has added a Young digital Tinker Tank Lab! Check it out!

Note From The PTA 📚

PTA has scheduled optional Spirit Nights at Infiniti Athletics. Please make note of date/ages when signing up. The first Open Gym for younger students was 1/10 and will be changed due to weather. Stay tuned!

Yearbooks on sale now!

Yearbooks are on sale. Paper copies will be coming home on Monday. Purchase early for the cheaper price. Online purchasing options available as well.

Winter Weather

Reminders: We use the following weather chart to determine if we will play outside. Please send your child in a coat because we do go out when it is chilly. Don't forget to write their name in case it gets lost.

Parents of Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders

The Department of Education announced in December that the K-2 interims will be cancelled for this year. These were originally scheduled for January. The summative assessment will still take place in the spring. We will continue to use classroom data and ATLAS testlet data to monitor student progress towards grade level standards.
