Now that our Read-a-thon has come to an end, we wanted to share the final results. In total, our students read 90059 minutes! That is 1500 hours of students engaging in literacy activities with their families. In total, our school raised $5241.70. We are so excited to use these funds to add books to our classroom libraries!!
Mrs. Hewson divided the classes into teams. Team Yoshi won with 31593 total minutes read, with Team Luigi coming in a second with 31324 minutes. Team Mario made a super effort with 27412 minutes read. The class prize will be determined next week!
We want to thank our entire school community for supporting our students - WAY TO GO ÉOLR!!
Carnaval
What a fantastic time we had celebrating our Winter Carnaval on Thursday! The excitement, laughter, and community spirit were truly heartwarming as students and staff came together to enjoy the festivities. From fun games and activities to unforgettable memories, it was a day full of joy!
A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers! Your hard work, energy, and enthusiasm made the event a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you!
Grade 4 - Alberta Government Survey

Parent Engagement Nights - How to Support Your Child's Learning - at Home!
We are excited to be offering 3 parent engagement sessions this year. These sessions are designed to provide tools for parents to support their child's learning. Before Christmas, we asked for your feedback - thank you to all who took the time to complete this survey on parent engagement night topics. As a result of the survey, we will be offering the following parent sessions at the school:
- March 4 (5-6 p.m.): Counselling Parent Engagement Night
- The focus of this session is "How to help my child managing emotions"
- March 13 (5-6 p.m.): Literacy Parent Engagement Night
- This session is jam-packed with tools to support your child with reading.
- Have you noticed your child tapping out sounds in words? Have they talked about "heart" words? Literacy instruction has changed with the new curriculum - and we are here to help!
