Who We’re Looking For
The Tukwila School District is recruiting parents and guardians of K-12 students for our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). This diverse group meets monthly to support school policies, student success, and family engagement.
Purpose and Goals
The PAC promotes open communication between families, schools, and the district. We recognize parents as lifelong teachers and essential partners, and together we work toward an inclusive environment where every student thrives.
What You’ll Do
● Advise on district policies (school climate, attendance, dual-language, etc.).
● Promote Communication with culturally responsive practices.
● Provide Feedback on school processes to ensure parent voices are heard.
● Represent Your School by actively participating and sharing information.
Interested?
PAC members meet monthly for a two-year term. Join us in making a meaningful impact!

REMINDER: PLAYGROUND SAFETY
Hello Cougar Parents and Guardians,
This is a reminder to please talk with your students about playground safety. We want recess to be a fun time, but there are rules that must be followed for the safety of everyone on the playground.
- There is no jumping off of the playground structures.
- Follow instructions of all staff and teachers on the playground.
- Pay attention to whistles when they are blown.
- There is to be no pushing or shoving on the playground.
We want everyone to be safe and have a lot of fun. We appreciate your partnership in talking with your students.
Remember the Cougar Way:
Be Safe
Be Kind and
Go CV Cougars!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We in the Tukwila School District acknowledge that the land where we teach, collaborate, learn and play is the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish and Muckleshoot people past and present and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish and Muckleshoot Tribes. As a public school district we have a responsibility for the stewardship of this land and we strive to work alongside the Duwamish and Muckleshoot people who have been living and working here since time immemorial.
We further acknowledge that the burden of environmental exploitation and systemic injustice falls upon the labor of black and brown bodies in the building of this country and its institutions. We remember that black and brown people were born and died working this land against their will for generations. We also acknowledge the continued contribution of the labor of survivors – over the centuries to today – of all immigrant labor, including voluntary, involuntary, trafficked, forced and undocumented peoples in the building of what we refer to as the United States.
As a school district leadership, we pledge to recognize and work against systems that have historically and currently enforce and create inequities among the people we serve.
Visit the Duwamish tribe website to find out ways you can stand with the Duwamish.
