About Us
Class of 2025
Welcome to your senior year of high school! There will be so many events, deadline dates, and emotions to sort through this year!! Our hope with this weekly newsletter is that we can summarize a lot of these things to help you out!
The majority of items that you will see in this newsletter will be:
- deadlines to turn stuff in here at the high school (cap/gown/announcements, senior ad, etc.)
- dates of events here at the high school (senior honors night, graduation, etc.)
- financial aid (scholarships, FAFSA, etc.)
- outside events (college fairs, college admission days, etc.)
And if you have any other questions or if we are missing something that you think would be beneficial, please email the counseling office at jacobsc@usd231.com. We'll be glad to look into it for you, and even add it to the newsletter if it would benefit everyone!

Celebrating our Class of 2025
We want to display, promote, and especially celebrate the future plans of our senior class! Upstairs, right at the entrance of the 400 hallway, we have created an acceptance wall. When one of our seniors decides on the path they are going to take after graduation, whether that is college, working, trade school, military, or whatever else there is out there, we want them to sign their name to the corresponding sign on our acceptance wall. And if we don't have a sign for someone's next step, they need to talk to their counselor and we'll get it added!
Welcoming our new College Advisor
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Guevara and I am the new College Adviser here at Gardner-Edgerton High School. I graduated in May with my Bachelor's in Modern Languages from Kansas State University. I am also an Alum of GEHS and graduated in 2020. My role is to meet with students 1-1 to help guide seniors to their post-secondary pathways. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you would like me to present to your class about college/trade school/military or workforce pathways!
