December 2024
Hello December!
It's the most wonderful time of the year, let's welcome December with warmth and cheer!
As the temperatures drop, I encourage parents to make sure their children are dressed warmly for the weather. With just three weeks remaining until winter break, regular school attendance is key. If your child is feeling unwell, please ensure they are fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Also, be sure to take note of this month's PTO meeting dates!

What is Cory’s Dream Team?
Hi, we’re Cory’s Dream Team, a Destination Imagination team at Beach Park Middle School. We plan to raise over $600 to make blessing bags. Our target audience is kids with cancer. Would you like to help us?
What is a blessing bag? What you can do to help us!
A blessing bag is a bag that we plan to cheer up kids going through chemotherapy by putting in stuff to help them like moist towelettes, hand cream, and more. We plan to give them in January. Can you help support us by sponsoring a blessing bag for 5$?Fuzzy Sock Sale!
Do you like fuzzy socks? BPMS Library is having a fuzzy sock sale. You purchase 2 pairs of socks for $5.00, you keep one and you choose one to donate to Cory’s Dream Team who will be making blessing-bags. Blessing bags are bags of items for kids with cancer to help ease their pain. All of the money we get from socks will go into purchasing other items for the blessing bags.
BRACELETS AND HOT COCOA
Hot Coco and Bracelets is a fundraiser for Cory’s Dream Team. It is December 11 at 2:30 and ends at 4 o'clock in the BPMS library. It will cost $2 dollars to enter, and after you pay you will get to make bracelets and get a cup hot cup of cocoa for free! For bracelets, you get to make 2. You keep one and you donate one. All the money and bracelets will get to be used for blessing bags for kids with cancer.
Open Gym/Movie Night at BPMS
We will be having an Open Gym/Movie Night on Friday, December 13. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and students will need to be picked up at 8:00 pm. Open Gym will have space for soccer, volleyball, basketball and football. $5 Entry Fee. Snacks, pizza and pop will be sold.
