Respect Yourself, Others, and the Environment
Your voice is important to us. Please take a few minutes to complete the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), which is an anonymous, voluntary survey that measures school climate, safety, academic performance, and overall student wellness from the perspective of staff, students, and parents/guardians. We will use the results of our parent/guardian feedback to celebrate our strengths and improve on specific identified areas of need.

Habit of the Month for March: Habit #6 Synergize
Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. Synergy promotes better communication, reducing conflicts and enhancing cohesion. It boosts morale and job satisfaction, contributing to lower turnover rates. Ultimately, synergy allows teams to tackle complex challenges more efficiently and produce higher-quality results. When we work together to find solutions to challenges, they bring with them different strengths and experiences
Here are some tips to converse with your child about synergizing.
Essential Elements that are Necessary for Synergizing
Give Importance to the Opinion of Others
It is is necessary to give importance to the views of others. It helps to control your emotions and allows you to find an accurate solution to the problem because when you listen to the opinions of different people, then there is a strong possibility of getting closer to the perfect solution.
Take Criticism with Patience
It’s quite hard to take criticism of people patiently because it needs a lot of practice to master this skill. Many people are hurt by the criticism of others, which is not a good habit. It is important to handle criticism patiently because it helps us identify some of our own weaknesses in the eyes of others.
Listen to the Ideas of Others
Everyone has a different perspective regarding a problem. Sometimes, other people have a good idea to handle a situation compared to what you thought. That’s why it’s better to listen to the idea of all so that you can discover the most creative idea or make adjustments to your ideas after listening to the reviews of others.
Look for Challenging People
Synergy will come when you work with people who have a different mindset than you. These people are a bit difficult because they think out of the box. Working with them will not be that easy; that’s why it is important to listening carefully, to others, so that you can work together with them and discover a win-win solution.
Please always feel free to reach out to me as needed; your ideas, thoughts, and feedback are always welcomed.
Be safe and well.

Drop-off and Pick-up Safety---Please Be Mindful and Safe
- Drop-off and Pick-up Safety. Please Be Mindful and Safe
- To ensure your child's safety please do not double park (or stop anywhere in the street) or ask your student to cross the parking lot or walk between cars to get to you. THIS IS NOT SAFE.
- PLEASE use the designated crosswalk in front of the school where our crossing guard is on duty. Often, we see families jaywalking, and stopping traffic on Wells Avenue, which is illegal, obstructs motion traffic, and is not safe. Please take a couple of extra minutes to use the crosswalk.
- PLEASE be courteous do not block our neighbors' driveways. Again, please take the extra time to park and walk.
