Announcements
- Staff Luncheons: Monday, November 25, and Friday, December 6: Our teachers will be enjoying a duty free staff luncheon on the stage on these two dates. We will not have space for parent visitors for lunch, as our tables will be in use for the luncheon. Please make plans to attend another date if you would like to eat with your child. I apologize for any inconvenience, but we want to provide this treat to our teachers on these two dates.
- Absence Reminder: Please remember to contact your child's teacher or the front office if your child is missing a day of school. This can be done when they return. If your child is sick and visits the doctor, please ask for a doctor's note. If your child is sick but not sick enough to visit the doctor, you can share that with us as well. Each student is eligible to have up to five parent note excuses for these situations. For any additional attendance questions, please call or email Debbie Bogan at bogand@fortmillschools.org
- Arriving after 7:35: Please walk your child into the office and sign them in if you arrive after 7:35. School begins at 7:35 and staff on car duty reports to their other responsibilities. Please walk them in for their safety. Thank you!
- Bringing Joy to Our SES Children: SES has families who are not able to provide gifts for their children this holiday season. The children included are in need of a little help, someone who is willing to help him/her have a magical holiday. Whether you send in a gift card to help someone shop to fulfill the needed items, or you and your family choose to shop to joyfully pick out special items to make another child have a special holiday season, your support is priceless! Check the website today after 5:00 for more information and a link to the signup if you are wanting to contribute. It will be located on the scrolling banner.
- Watch D.O.G.S. Program: Please see the important message below about this program starting at SES. A flyer will be coming home as well today with the same information.
Watch D.O.G.S. Program - Pizza Night Invite
Fathers and Father-figures,
On Dec. 3rd from (6:00 – 7:00 pm) we will be having our inaugural ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our school. You will meet here at the school cafeteria at (6:00 pm) for FREE pizza and drinks. At (6:30) we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school.
In order to participate, you need to do two things:
1. Fill out the bottom portion of the form being sent home today with you child and return it with your student (ASAP) saying that you will attend the pizza night so we’ll have an accurate head count for the food.
2. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you Tuesday, December 3rd, from 6:00–7:00 pm.
If it is easier to respond electronically, we have added the below evite option.
