Finishing Strong
Next week is the last full week of school, with exams starting on Friday. It is important that all FHS students be in school with their full effort to finish the year string. We will have tutoring available next Wednesday and Thursday after school.
Many final exams will be online. It is important that students bring their charged Chromebooks with them each day to exams.
Student Chromebooks, chargers and cases will be turned in on the last day of school to their 6th hour teacher.
Students should also return all checked out books to the media center to avoid any fines.
Test Out Information
For students who signed up to test out, materials will be available for pick-up in the Counseling Office starting Tuesday May 28th.

Seniors - May 30: Breakfast, Rehearsal & Grad Gauntlet
On Thursday, May 30th, all graduates meet in the high school cafeteria at 7:30 for the Senior Breakfast and then the mandatory commencement practice.
Following practice, all grads will pick up their cap and gowns, put them on, and line up for the Gauntlet. The students will walk through the high school and junior high for one last goodbye to staff and students. Then, they will load buses and be transported to Kreeger, Smith, and Munn, where they will parade through their halls. The buses will pick up the students at Munn and transport them back to the high school where they will be dismissed. We anticipate that the whole Gauntlet will take 45-60 minutes.
We would like to invite Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, Friends, and Neighbors to join in this celebration. You can make signs, wave, clap, etc. You must park in the bus parking lot between the High School and Junior High. Please respect that the high school is still conducting classes, and DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING. We will have someone in the bus parking lot directing you where to stand. Unfortunately, we only have an estimate of when practice will be over and the Gauntlet will begin. We are estimating beginning the walk to the Junior High around 10:15, but you may want to come early just in case practice goes quickly. Also, you should know that the seniors pass you quickly on the way to Junior High. Feel free to pull them out of line for a quick picture.
We are looking for volunteers to donate bottled water (one for each senior). Let us know if you are willing to donate a case of water, or just have your senior bring the donation directly to the main office.
If you’d like to help with this event, please let us know. We would love 3-5 parents to help organize and for all of the parents to come and cheer!

ALL Students:
With only 1 week until exams it is important to take advantage of all the necessary support offered at FHS to earn the credit you have been working towards. Credit Recovery and Academic Focus students should be on a schedule to complete their assigned courses through Odysseyware before the end of the semester. Students should work with teachers, after school tutoring, and math lab to get assignments completed.
Sophomores and Juniors- Dual Enrollment:
Students interested in Dual Enrollment in a college course for the 24-25 school year should look at the resources in their graduating year google classroom. LCC, WCC and most community colleges have opened registration for their fall 24 semesters. Please see Mr. Hardenbrook for course approval.
Juniors over the Summer:
Next year Mr. Hardenbrook will be coming into students ELA classes to help students take their next steps after graduation. This summer is a great time to research and visit potential schools, programs, job fairs, and recruiters etc. Students that start their senior year having investigated their interests are much more likely to follow through and meet deadlines for entrance, scholarships, financial aid etc.

All TIP (Michigan Tuition Incentive Program) eligible students and parents were emailed information on how to take advantage of this scholarship program via of email.
