Choir All Region
Members of the Tomball HS choir competed at the second round of the All State process this weekend. The following students will perform with the Region Treble Choir:

The following students earned a spot in the Region Mixed choir and will Advance to the third round Pre Area auditions:

Fishing Team
At the Texas High School Bass Association Fishing Tournament this past weekend at Lake Somerville
Kamren Vann & John David Tuley were 3rd out of 162 teams with 5 fish that had a weight of 14.5 pounds.
Hunter Fitzgerald & Matthew Grant were 35th out of 162 teams with 1 fish that had a weight of 1.97 pounds.
Overall Tomball High School placed 4th out of 14 schools.
NJROTC
The Tomball NJROTC competed in the Spring High School NJROTC Drill meet this past Saturday. The mighty NJROTC cadets took 4th place overall out of a field of 14, with a 3rd place finish in Unarmed basic and Unarmed Exhibition drill areas. The cadets showed their strength, taking 2nd place in Athletics with Cadet Robert Hill taking 1st place in the Pushup category. WAY TO GO TOMBALL NJROTC.
Golf
Congratulations to the THS Boys Varsity Golf Team on their 2nd place finish at the Conroe High School hosted tournament at Conroe Country Club .
Congratulations to Rhett Turner on his 2nd place individual finish.
COUNSELOR SPOTLIGHT
Our counselor teacher spotlight this week goes to Tanya Goytia. Mrs. Goytia is very proactive on student well being. She is collaborative, responsive, and has a heart for at-risk students. We appreciate her running grad lab during cougar block, and sponsoring the Healing Hearts club at THS!

Academic UIL Teams Recruiting Now
Whatever class you enjoy, there’s an Academic UIL team for that. Math, Science, Social Studies, Speech, Journalism, Computer Science, Spelling and many others. Competitions will heat up in January, so now is the time to talk to your teacher. Being in Academic UIL looks great on your college applications and can help unlock scholarships! Panorama Survey
Tomball ISD and THS values your feedback. On Monday, November 4, you will receive an email from TISD Communications with a brief survey to tell us about your experience of THS. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for their best futures, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
*The survey will begin on November 1 and close on November 17. You will be able to take the survey online at home or on the go on your mobile device. More information to come!

November’s theme for Parent University is all about Planning for Your Child’s Future, and we have three exciting sessions that will help guide your family toward success.
Career and High School Planning: It's Never too Early
November 14th, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Tomball Star Academy
Learn the importance of course and career planning for students of all ages—from elementary through high school—and discover the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available in Tomball ISD. Breakout sessions will also include high school graduation requirements and information about our Early College High School and P-TECH programs. This session will equip you with tools to set your child on the path to future career success. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.
Pathways to Independence: Connecting School to Life Beyond
November 19th, 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Tomball ISD Technology and Staff Development Center
Join us for a special Parent Information Night focused on Transition Services for students aged 14-22 receiving special education services. Gain the knowledge and resources needed to support your child's journey toward independence and a successful future. This session connects school experiences to life beyond the classroom. College Knowledge Night (high school parents only)
November 20th, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Tomball Event Center
Meet with college representatives from across the country at this one-stop shop for planning your child’s postsecondary future. Whether you're just beginning to think about college or actively applying, this event will provide key insights for navigating the college planning process.

- Local Tomball Scholarships for Seniors - Two of the local scholarships are now active!! More to come as we hear back from donors. Seniors need to check back frequently. These are great scholarship opportunities!
- Financial Aid Night Presentation Link
- 2025-2026 FAFSA (for current seniors) is delayed - The FAFSA opening date will be delayed again this year to December 1st.
- Save the date! Tuesday, November 19th - Cougar Block College Fair from 9:00-9:45 am, sign-up required, details will be provided prior to event. Event for students only.

- Lone Star College Rep Visits - Our Lone Star College rep will be on campus twice each month throughout the year to help answer any questions students have about their program, admissions, etc. LSC has many great opportunities for our students. Opportunities for Students with the College & Career Counselor
- College & Career Cougar Block Series - Open to all grade levels, sessions will be held during Cougar Block and cover a variety of topics from post-high school options, college rep panel, financial aid, military options, stress management, and more. Click here to sign-up
- C&C Donut Chat - Before school event once a month (updated) for students to chat with Mrs. Nichols, College & Career Counselor. Sign-up required as space will be limited, donuts will be provided. Dates & sign-up in student’s Schoology!
- College & Career Classroom Videos - Every other week, Mrs. Nichols will share videos for each grade level covering many college and career related topics throughout the year. Videos and presentation links will be shared in each grade level Schoology course for students to refer back to and parents to stay in the loop. Videos posted in grade level Schoology courses under 24-25 Classroom Videos & Slides section.
- Grade Level Schoology Courses - Each grade level will have their own Schoology course provided by Mrs. Nichols, College & Career Counselor. Here students will have information on events, event sign-up, C&C Classroom Video library, C&C Series information, rep visit sign-ups, and more. Parents do not need to do anything to join the course. Once the student joins, parents will have access through their own Schoology login. Information will be provided for parents who do not have accounts set up yet. One Final Senior Yearbook Photo Opportunity at THS
Seniors, if you have not yet done your senior photo, this is your LAST opportunity. Our photography company, CADY, will be making a final visit to campus on Nov. 11. They will be here all day to accommodate anyone who still needs a photo. Please go to https://store.cady.com/ to schedule an appointment during the campus visit. There is a $10 sitting fee but that gets you both the formal photo (which is used for the yearbook) and the cap & gown photo.
