Eagles Exclamation

Greetings From Prairie View Middle School
Dear PV Eagle Families:
As I sit down to write this message, I am asking myself where the year has gone. It is hard to believe that we are already in March. Spring Break is just three weeks away, and we are four weeks from the end of the quarter. This is a crucial time for students to stay focused, complete assignments, and finish the quarter strong. Please encourage your child to keep on top of their work and reach out to teachers for support if needed. Teachers will not be accepting late assignments after April 8th. Grades will be posted on April 11th for the third quarter.
For our students who are fasting who do not want to be in the Commons where other students are eating, they have been allowed to sign up for an alternative location for their lunch periods. In this room, they can play cards or board games, talk with friends, or work on assignments. Students will remain seated while in the room. Box lunches and milk will be distributed at the end of the day for students to take home.
We also are asking for your help in completing the 5 Essentials Survey, if you have not already done so. This survey provides valuable feedback that helps us enhance our learning environment for all students. Your input is essential in shaping the future of our school. Please click the Illinois 5Essentials Survey link and select the parent survey to begin.
On a celebratory note, our SWIC Boys' Basketball teams and Girls' Volleyball teams are competing in their conference and performing exceptionally well! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication. Go Eagles!
Thank you for your ongoing support. We are grateful for the strong partnership we have with our PV families. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Maura R. Baskovich
Principal
Please take the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey by March 28!
If you have not done so already, please be sure to take the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey by March 28. We must get a 20% parent response rate for our results to be reported.
This survey assesses a school’s culture and climate and provides insight into strengths and weaknesses on the five key factors that research shows are predictive of school success - effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction.
Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
Thanks for your support!
