We've had a fun and exciting few weeks of school. It's been so enjoyable seeing all the learning and growing that has happened already. We hope to see all of you at Back to School Night on the 5th of September. Your students have been working hard on projects that they are excited to share with you all.

Thank you for working with Pine Ridge to ensure the parking lot is a safe for our community. I know there have been so hiccups, but please know, we are working on them. As a reminder, There is NO PARKING in the fire lane, (the red curb that surrounds the front and back of the building). Waiting in the fire lane for the bells to ring is not permitted in the morning, as it blocks traffic. We are also asking that if you are picking up a student after school from a club that you not park behind our staff vehicles blocking them in. If the parking lot is full you may always park in the pool parking lot.

Another quick reminder, there is no supervison on the playground before 7:50. Please remind your students to not play on the playground prior to the bell ringing in the morning.

Regular daily school attendance is a critical factor in school success. Students who are chronically absent from school are at risk of falling behind in academic learning. Poor attendance in early grades can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade. By sixth grade, chronic absence can be a predictor of whether a student is at risk for dropping out of school. Help us meet our goal of having every child at school every day.

If your family anticipates an issue with attendance this year, please reach out to our office and we will make a plan to ensure your student gets to school.

Medications at school:

In order for our clinic staff to administer any medication to your student that is prescribed, permission forms must be signed by a health care provider. These forms act as our order to follow. You can find all forms here: https://www.cherrycreekschools.org/Page/1743

All Medications, both over the counter and prescribed, are all kept in the clinic during the school day. Please reach out to the clinic if you have any questions.

VISION SCREENING:

Vision screening dates for the whole school (minus 4th grade) are September 17th and 19th. If we have any concerns about your child's vision, we will send home a referral later in the month. If you don't hear from us, they passed!

If you would like to opt your child out of vision screening, please email Nurse Jessi at Jpuga3@cherrycreekschools.org by Sept 13th.

(Audiology testing will be done in January)
