Going Green to Save Money And Resources
Hope this week is off to a great start for all of you!
Our district's Green Star Schools Program with the continued support of our students and staff, have saved over $1.5 million dollars in avoided cost savings over the last two years.
With budget cuts pending for the 2017-2018 school year, I just wanted to take a minute to please encourage you to attend an upcoming Strategic Budget Redesign meeting and please consider supporting Idea #25: "Require all schools to participate in the Green Star Schools Energy Saving Program..."
When more schools participate in our program, we compound our cost and resource savings and that helps to keep more money in our district to impact student achievement.
Tuesday, Jan. 31
6 p.m.
Vista PEAK Exploratory School
24551 E. 1st Ave., Aurora, CO 80018
