A Message from Superintendent Joe Koch
It seems we've been able to experience all four of Wisconsin's seasons in the last week as we approach spring break! I hope all of our families are able to take some time away from the typical routines next week and that our students can come back refreshed and ready for the final push of the school year.
When we return, don't forget that Tuesday, April 1, is Election Day and that we have two contested seats up for our School Board. You can scroll down in this email to learn more.
Finally, don't forget that state assessments will continue after break with our students in Grades 3-8 and 10 participating in the Wisconsin Forward Exam while students in Grades 9-10 will take the PreACT Secure test on Tuesday, April 8.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our schools!
Dr. Joe Koch

Field of Flags MHS Band Fundraiser
The Field of Flags is the MASD Band Program’s largest annual fundraiser. On the four summer American holidays, the Mukwonago Band students and staff display hundreds of American flags along E. Veterans Way between Clarendon Avenue Elementary School and Park View Middle School. In 2021, we had over 140 flags sponsored. In 2022, we had nearly 200 flags flying proudly over Veterans Way. 2024 was our biggest year yet, with 237 flags! With your support, we can make this year the largest display yet.
The Field of Flags display is erected on Memorial Day, Flag Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day. Each flag is 3ft by 5ft, flown on a 7 1/2 ft white pole, and is internally anchored into the ground with rebar. Attached to each pole is a tag that includes the flag's number, the name of the supporter who sponsored it, and a custom dedication to a serviceperson or other hero who has served our country.
To sponsor a flag, go to www.mukwonagobands.org/flags - the “Place an Online Order” button will take you to our Classmunity page where you can order a flag and customize how your name (as the flag sponsor) will appear. You can also create a custom dedication to a serviceperson or other hero in your life.
