Welcome back STEM Scholars! I hope you all have enjoyed your spring break. We will continue with remote learning through May 15, 2020. You can reach out to me as well if you have any questions or concerns, or just want to chat.

New class schedule

I will attach a copy of the new schedule to this email.

No classes on Friday because you complete IReady on Friday. Also, Friday can be time to ensure you have all your work completed.

New Morning Meeting Schedule Beginning Tuesday 4/7/2020

We have decided to push back your morning meeting to 9:00-9:30 on Monday - Thursday to give you a few more minutes to wake up.

What if you cannot log on at 9:00-9:30 for the morning meeting?

You must email your teacher as soon as possible on the same day.

Be sure to complete your assignments.

ELA and Math class are Monday-Thursday

ELA- 9:30-10:15

Math - 1:00-1:45

Science and Social Studies classes are Monday and Wednesday

Science 10:30-11:15

Social Studies 2:00-2:45

First and Second Elective Classes are Tuesday and Thursday

First Elective 10:30-11:15

Second Elective 2:00-2:45

Phone Calls to STEM main office

We will be available to answer phone calls at STEM from 9-1 M-F.

How do I reach someone at STEM after 1:00?

You can leave a voice message and we will return your phone call.
You can email any staff member. Please allow us 24 hours to respond to your email for non- emergency situations.

What if I am having problems with my laptop or internet?

Please email one of your teachers or the principal if you have problems with your laptop or interent. We will email or call you with directions on how we will address your issue.

How am I graded?

Complete and Submit your assignments as evidence of your participation on a weekly basis.

What if I am moving what do I do?

Please email me as soon as possible at glockhart@vcs.k12.nc.us. I will then work with you and your parents on what to do next.

Will we take the EOG's or the EOC's?

No, you will not take the EOG and/or EOC at the end of this school year.

Remember we have class every day!

We are taking daily attendance.

We are grading your work as you complete it.
