Principal's Message
Dear Cavalier Families,
Last Wednesday was World Kindness Day. It is a great prelude to our last week together in November, the month of gratitude, Native American Heritage Month and Men's Health Month. Students are certainly displaying our core values of C.A.R.E.! They are being Courageous by creating art and performing it in our SCPA classes. In Band, we have seven students who are performing at a level in which they have been invited to be a part of the district Honor Band! Congratulations! Our students are being Ambitious by raising lexile levels and reclassifying as "English proficient", huge accomplishments! 90% of our students are being Responsible by being on time to class and showing up prepared! Our students are Empathetic by helping at our monthly food distribution and by watching films about challenges and perseverance, some made by peers at the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Most of all, students are being Kind. Below are some activities to participate in and information to remind ourselves of the positives in life. I hope that all of you spend next Thanksgiving week with care in your hearts with your loved ones.Thanksgiving break is also a great opportunity for students to work on assignments to raise their grades. Please communicate with your teachers as when we come back on December 3, there are three weeks left before the end of the semester.
