Stockdale's Mathletes Sum Up Victory in Kern County! π’

We ended with an 11-point lead over the nearest rival. The top scoring Stockdale student was Anurag Banerjee with a combined score of 19. The CAML contest is designed to promote the enjoyment and study of mathematics. It is open to all Stockdale students with the support and assistance of many of our math teachers and the students in Math Honor Society. Way to go, Mustangs!

Student Culture Club π
The purpose of our Student Culture Club, which meets monthly, is to create a welcoming space where students can collaborate, amplify student voice, and develop initiatives that promote inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging for all members of our school community. At their final meeting of the school year, members had a great time spreading positivity by leaving uplifting and inspiring messages for their peers with sidewalk chalk across campus.
Mustangs Mentor Young Minds at CSUBβs Robotics Festival π€
The STEMPower club volunteered at the second annual "STEMtaught Robotics Festival" at CSUB. The robotics festival invited students from 20 different elementary schools and ended up serving over 250 students. Our volunteers ran several stations teaching students how to code and build different robots and solve challenges. This is the type of event that truly plants the seeds of curiosity and interest in students. Before we know it, we'll have a new generation of engineers and coders!

Stockdale Track & Field Sprints Into History Books ππ»ββοΈ
The Month of April was another great one for both the Boys and Girls Track & Field Programs at Stockdale High School. Throughout the month of April, the Mustangs progressed multiple school records and Personal Records that rank themselves among the best throughout Kern County and the Central Section. Over Spring Break, the Mustangs competed in the prestigious Arcadia Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays where both men and women were able to establish themselves in the Top-10 for both the Central Section and School History record books. The girls relay of Ava Leisenfelder, Hannah Pacheco, Nevaeh Ramos, and Kendall Rogers ran a time of 3:57.95 in the 4x400. Nevaeh Howard is also top 3 respectively in the section for both the 100m (12.09) and 200m (24.66). For the boys, they are currently #2 in the Central Section after placing at both Arcadia and Mt. Vinny is #1 in the Section in the hurdles while DT is Top 5 in the section respectively.
Happiness Hangouts π
The Culture Club's last Happiness Hangout was held 4/29. Students created gratitude jars to reflect on their growth, celebrate meaningful moments, and capture hopes for their future. It's a simple yet powerful way to honor the journey and look forward with intention.

We had 176 seniors having an amazing time. A few staff members (Chilton, Gonzalez, Ventimiglia) show up as well. Mr. Chilton has made a visit every year. Rollerama donates $1.00 per senior back as a fundraiser to the senior class.
