For the LOVE of Reading
The Butterfield School PTA is proud to present the “For the Love of Reading” program! We encourage every student to cozy up and read between February 1 and February 12! Each student that reaches the goal set below will receive a token good for a free scoop of custard at Culver’s of Lombard. Every class that has 80% of its students meet their reading goal will be given a classroom incentive to be determined by their teacher(s). NEW Self- Certification Procedures for ALL Hybrid Students
All students must complete the self certification form located in Skyward Family Access prior to arriving on January 25, 2021. We are requiring this of ALL FAMILIES with children who are hybrid/in-person. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.
NOTE: This self certification form is different from the daily “wellness screening” you have been completing. When entering Skyward, please make sure you are completing the form titled “COVID-19 Self-Certify - Jan 25.”
All students who complete the self certification will be provided a District 44 backpack tag, which signifies to us that our families continue to honor our DAILY requirement that only children who are symptom-free are on campus.
Students will be provided this backpack tag only after we have checked that their self certification was completed. Any family who has not completed this will be immediately contacted by the child’s school and not be allowed to return until complete.

Victor Pacini: Be Seen Be Heard Parent Information
Erin’s Law, House Bill 6193, was signed by Governor Pat Quinn on January 24, 2013. This law requires schools to implement an age-appropriate sexual assault and abuse awareness and prevention curriculum for grades pre-K through 12. It is recommended that four communications a year on Erin’s Law be made available to all students. Please click here Be Seen Be Heard Parent Letter to understand the purpose of the program.
