Message From Mr. Burkhart

I am writing to make you aware of a situation this morning where two MRMS students threatened to bring a weapon to school. Our School Safety Officer and local law enforcement were immediately involved, and it was determined that the student who was in the building did not possess a weapon and there was no threat to student safety.

The safety of our students and staff is my top priority and I wish to thank those who brought the concern to my attention so that it could be handled quickly.

Please remind your students to make good, positive behavioral choices and that inappropriate actions or threats come with consequences.
