What Does The Fox Say?
November 7, 2024
Below, find a community letter from Stephanie Shore, ECE Teacher.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It’s that time of year again when things can get really busy! We have several school breaks coming up. It is important to take some time out from the hustle and bustle for your children to read, practice writing/drawing, solve math work, etc. Some of my favorite ways to incorporate school objectives at home include: hiding math facts/problems (or numbers depending on the ages of your children) around the house and when they find them, solve them or identify them. You can have your children read recipes or instructions on how to put together decorations or toys. Younger students can look for letters around your house, while older students can write about what they have done on break. It can also be fun to have educational car games when traveling. Ask your children to look for certain colors, letters/words, states on license plates, numbers on speed limit signs, etc. These school breaks are a great time to involve your child in all your doing and help them with their school practices along the way!
All the best,
Stephanie Shore
ECE Teacher
