KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS
• Have visible marks or Bruises
• Make changes in the daily rituals
• Grades begin to drop
• Retreat from school or Activities
• Decreasing self confidence
• Having difficulty in making decisions
• Experience isolation from friends
• Make changes in clothing and/make up
• Stop spending time with family and/or friends
• Wear clothing inappropriate for the weather to hide marks
• Excessive time with the person they’re dating
• Drugs and/or alcohol use
GET INVOLVED
• Be calm
• Ask questions
• Listen with an open heart and mind
• Give support as they decide what to do
• Open up clear channels of communications
• Take positive actions
• Talk to the school counselor
