Grade Level Announcements
Accepting Donations of Art Supplies!
The Art Studio at KMS is always accepting donations of art supplies and/or craft supplies. Please contact Tiffany Eichler before you bring items in to ensure we have room and a need for that item. teichler@kingsleyschools.org or leave a message with your number in the office or on my voicemail.
Items we would love…yarn, wire, scrap wood, felt, art supplies, old maps, small wood containers such as cigar boxes, canvases, wire hangers, foam plates, stamps, etc (parent donations have inspired their own projects so if you are unsure please ask if we could use it!)

Report Cards have been mailed home and should be arriving by the end of the week!
Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit Assembly - Nov 18
Our school is pleased to host a special presentation by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit. The session will focus on internet safety, including responsible online behavior, recognizing cyber threats, and protecting personal information. The presentation is designed to help students make informed and safe choices when using digital devices and social media.
Presentation Details:
Date: Monday November 18th
Location: Kingsley Middle School
We believe this presentation provides valuable information to help students navigate the digital world safely. However, we respect your right to decide if your child will participate. If you prefer your child *not* attend this session, please complete and return this form to the Middle School office by Friday November 15th, 2024. If you are unable to print this form, you may email your OPT out to Mrs. Bradford and/or Mr. Arnold - please include your students name (first and last), their grade level and your permission for them to not participate in the presentation. The email OPT out due date is still Friday, November 15th, 2024.

Howdy! We are continuing to learn about the Issues and the compromises made at the Constitutional Convention. I have pushed the quiz back to Wednesday, Nov. 20th. Retakes for this quiz, if needed, would be best completed before Thanksgiving Break.
Some students chose not to retake the Articles of Confederation quiz which is adversely effecting their grade. Check in with them about how this quarter is doing and make sure they don't dig themselves too deep a hole.
Math - Mrs. Wilkins
Pre-Algebra: Continue with One and Two-Step Equations, Quiz Tuesday Algebra: Finish up with Linear Equations, Test Tuesday
Choir - Mr. Evans
Students interested in participating in the MSVMA Solo and Ensemble festival should sign up with me by November 15. the cost is $25 for the festival and $35 for 1 rehearsal and the performance with an accompanist. If money is an issue, please talk to me. We will make scholarships available. Singer need to come see me for music.
Sustainable Science - Ms. Smith
Students made stir fry and thanksgiving stuffing this week. We also had a chance to continue our sewing unit. Stayed tuned as they complete their projects and start bringing them home! They are pretty awesome! Our big competition will take place next week, more details to come!
Spanish - Mrs. Acosta

This week we are Mono Printing the Scandinavian Artworks the kids have been working on since last week. Ask your young artist what the subject of their artwork is!
Board Game Design - Mr. Sias
Students are continuing to develop their gamemastering skillz while others are learning how to apply the game mechanics and improvise player choices.
Just for Fun Challenge
First five students who tell Mrs. Lewis in the office their favorite musical gets to A) Make her day and B) Get a small sparkly prize.
