Dear Garden Road Families,

You may have noticed a new face upon arrival and dismissal. Please give a warm welcome to our new crossing guard, Tina! She has lived in the Garden Road community in the past and some have recognized her as a former neighbor. She is crossing students and keeping them safe before and after school.

Our Storybook Parade was fun for all students and staff! Parents lined the blacktop, and the students paraded around the track in costume to fun Halloween tunes. Parties were held across campus this week as students celebrated fall and Halloween.

Giving Tree

It is that time of year again. Garden Road has volunteered to help two families in need in our district. Below you will see the link to the sign up genius, for those of you who are looking to help a family in need and spread some holiday cheer, please consider signing up to buy one (or more) item(s) from the family's wish list. Please bring all items to the school office and label with Child (age) so it will make easy for sorting when delivered to the district office.

Garden Road has graciously sponsored two families. If you are interested in helping and there is not a spot left, please try the link below for the district-wide Giving Tree list. Many of these families ask for basic items like clothing and toiletries and could really use our help.

GRES loves to give back!

The Student Leadership Team is excited to announce their first philanthropy project of the year- a new book drive!! The Student Leadership team will be collecting new books to donate to PUSD's Youth in transition Program- a program designed to help students with unstable housing. The books will be packaged up for gifts during the holidays. The Student Leadership Team at Garden Road believes that all kids deserve new books! Please help support this project by sending in a new, unwrapped children's book with your child during the month of November.
