Principal's Message
Dear Towson High School Community,
As we close out the school year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the 5-star achievements of our Towson Generals. This year has been a testament to the “leveled-up” effort and dedication of our students, staff, families, and community. From academic successes and athletic triumphs to vibrant arts and community service, every corner of our school has “leveled up” with positive energy and excellence. It has been an absolute privilege to lead Towson High School this year, and I extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making this a 5-star year. I look forward to continuing to lead with you and working towards actualizing the vision of a thriving learning community. I hope you all have a wonderful, well-deserved summer break!

- Sammi Cullison and Eloise Holman-Nall, Ada Dobson, Lundyn Thompson, Samantha Watterson, and Olivia Weinstock for creating a very positive banner.
- Bronte Morton who will compete in the 100m dash at New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championship.
- Varsity Boys Track & Field Team for winning the BCPS 2025 3A/4A Respect the Game Sportsmanship Award.
- Alex Lohse and Cecilia Van Lierop for making the BCPS Girls All-County Track & Field First Team.
- Theo Brown, Jack Fields, Bronte Morton, and Hunter Parsons for making the BCPS Boys All-County Track & Field First Team.
- Bronte Morton for setting a new school record of 10.64 seconds in the 100m dash in the preliminaries at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Hunter Parsons for his bronze medal in the 800m run at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Theo Brown for his bronze medal in the 3200m run at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Jack Fields, Theo Brown, Evan Cline, and Hunter Parsons for their bronze medals in the 4x800m relay at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Catherine Van Lierop, Cecilia Van Lierop, Katherine Lohse, and Alexandra Lohse for setting a new school record of 9:36.07 in the 4x800m relay at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Cecilia Van Lierop, Ava Coffee, Alex Lohse, and Davina Oyefusi for setting a new school record of 4:01.97 in the 4x400m relay at the MPSSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
- Kori Alston & Nicolas Toung for being nominated for the Baltimore Ravens Leadership Institute.
- Charlotte Sigler for earning Honorable Mention at the BCPS 2025 juried High School Art Exhibition for her art, “Lashes."
- Amal Abdi, Kiren Ali, Ben Kasofsky, Chelsea Skinner, and Jemma Steinik for earning "Excellence" degrees from the National Speech & Debate Association.
- William Bacon, Vishvak Gernapudi, Anisa Kalil, and Sophie Vijayan for earning "Merit" degrees from the National Speech & Debate Association.
- Anisa Kalil and Sophie Vijayan for earning "Honor" degrees from the National Speech & Debate Association.
- Mika E. Thiessen for earning a National Merit scholarship sponsored by the University of Georgia.
- Key Club for organizing "Smarties for Finals" treats and positive notes for students during Final Exam week.
- Generals Who Compost for compositing 19,000 pounds of food this year which kept nearly 9 metric tons of carbon out of the atmosphere. Stay Green, Towson!
- Marcus Amo, Selah Hovanec, Ana Sanchez, Sheryl Rubio-Santos, Leah Buskirk, and Keira Dwyer for assisting the English Department with recycling.
- Josiah Brion, Max Gerber and El Russel for being Maryland Reflection contest winners!
- Phoebe Miller for earning a scholarship from the PTA Council of Baltimore County!
Staff STARS
- Mr. Alford & Mr. Malloy on their well deserved retirements! Thank you for your 5-star service to Towson High School.
- Mx. Contreras for being recognized by MAEA as the Novice Secondary Art Educator of the Year for BCPS.
- Ms. Falatko and Mr. Cheung for going above and beyond to support a student in finishing out the school year.
- Ms. Vincent for being recognized as an impactful teacher-mentor by a former student in the University of Maryland Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar program.
- Ms. Russo for organizing SPAA's Kindness Garden banner.
- Ms. Monacelli for planning the year's Advisory lessons.
- Ms. McCusker for planning June PD for teachers and staff.
- Ms. Keller for planning a June celebration for teachers and staff.

MP4 Report Cards Available 6/16
Final report cards for the 2024-2025 school year will be available on FOCUS on Monday June 16 at 4:00 pm. Please use these directions to access directions for navigating FOCUS.
Please note, teachers are off duty until August 18. Requests for grade changes may not be processed until teachers return.

Main Office Summer Hours
Throughout the summer, the Main Office will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. Schools and Offices are closed on June 19, 2025 and July 4, 2025.

2025-2026 School Volunteer Interest Form
As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, we are excited to invite you to be a part of our school community by volunteering! Volunteers play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching experience for our students. Whether you can lend a hand before school, during lunch, after school, or at other school-based events, we welcome your support! Please complete this application by Monday, June 16, 2025, to express interest in volunteering in our schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
The process to become a BCPS volunteer is simple and convenient and can be found on the BCPS Volunteer webpage:

Class Dues
This is a friendly reminder to pay your $25 class dues. This will help fund our class activities and is required in order to attend Junior Prom. You can pay them on OSP.

Athletics
First Day of Fall Sports Practice
The first day of Fall Sports Practice is August 13. New athletic registration information is available on the BCPS website.
Fall Sports Eligibility Reminder
Fall Sports Eligibility is determined by students' Marking Period 4 grades. To be eligible to participate in Fall Sports, students must earn at least a 2.0 GPA for MP4 and have no more than 1 E or U on their MP4 report card.
