Welcome Back Tigers 2024-2025
Admin Message
Welcome back, Tigers! As we kick off the 2024-2025 school year at Trenton High School, we're excited to see our hallways filled with energy, enthusiasm, and the drive to succeed. Mark your calendars—our first day of school is Wednesday, September 4th, and the cafeteria will be open for lunch. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, this year promises to be full of new opportunities, challenges, and achievements.
Please keep a close eye on your inboxes over the next week for updates on HPEDSB policies regarding cell phone use and vaping in schools and our THS Code of Conduct. We are excited about the positive impact these changes will have on learning.
Let's make this year the best one yet—Go Tigers!
School Council
Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year! We’re excited to start a new year and invite all parents to participate in our School Council. Interest forms will be available starting September 3 and should be submitted to the main office by September 13. If an election of School Council members is necessary, it will take place on Sept. 20 through ballot in main office or electronically. Our first school council meeting will be held on September 26 at 5:30pm in the library where we will vote on executive members. For additional details and important dates, please review the brochure, which can be found by clicking here . We look forward to your involvement in making this a fantastic year!
Lockers
Every student, grade 7-12, is assigned a locker for their use at school. To keep hallways clear and maintain a tidy classroom environment, all students are required to leave their coats and backpacks in their lockers. Only learning items needed to engage in the classroom learning environment are allowed in class (i.e. binders, laptops, books and writing materials). Every student is required to use a school-issued lock, which is guaranteed for four years. Locks can be purchased at the school for $15 or through School Cash Online. Be sure to secure your lock early to start the year smoothly!
Medical Documentation Required
In order to help us keep students safe at school, please let the school know immediately if your student has any of the following medical conditions that are not already documented at Trenton High School:
Anaphylaxis
Asthma
Diabetes
Epilepsy or another seizure disorder
Requires self-administration or assistance with administration of medication
Other medical procedures
Requires routine health management support
All forms were mailed home in July for updating the school. Form 320-9 must be returned so the school has updated information.
Timetable Changes
Intermediate Students in grade 7 and 8. Class lists will be posted on Wednesday August 28th subject to change in the month of September due to class size and social dynamics.
*NEW* Change to Intermediate Morning Routines
Beginning in September, we are introducing an Intermediate Food for Learning (FFL) Program which will be available to all grade 7 and 8 students in Room 226. Here, students can find small snacks and access a designated space to eat as they arrive to school each morning and report directly to the intermediate wing of the school. Only Secondary students will continue to access FFL outside culinary, room 103. Please note that Intermediate students must report directly to the intermediate wing upon arrival to school. Grade 7 and 8 students are not permitted in high school hallways at any point during the school day, unless accompanied by their classroom teacher. We know our THS Food for Learning Program helps all students start their day positively and stay energized throughout their school day! We expect these changes will create less congestion in the halls and more consistent structure within the school day.
