A Message from Mrs. Mills (Richey)
Happy November Sunday, Harris Park Families!
Tomorrow, November 4th, is an early release day, and students will be dismissed at 1:40 PM. Please note there is no after-school programming, so all students must be picked up by 1:50 PM. Our next early release days are November 18th, December 2nd, and December 16th.
Join us for a fun Harris Park family skating night at Skate City on Wednesday, November 6th, from 4:00-6:00 PM! More details are in your November newsletter. We hope to see you there!
As we celebrate this month of gratitude, I want to extend my deepest thanks to our families and community members. Your support—through parenting, working on goals, reading together, practicing math facts, and attending our school events—makes Harris Park an exceptional place for children to learn and grow. We are truly grateful!
Please remember that Halloween candy should be enjoyed at home, as candy is not allowed at school.
Daylight savings ended today; don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour.
In observance of Veterans Day, there will be no school on Monday, November 11th.
We also warmly invite you to our next PTA meeting on Tuesday, November 12th, from 4:00-4:45 PM in the library. For more information, please email Laurie Perila at lperila@wps.org.
Students will have a full week off from November 25th to 29th for Thanksgiving. I hope this break brings joyful and restful time with loved ones. As we look forward to welcoming students back on December 2nd, please consider keeping to a regular, school-like routine to help ease the transition back.
Stay warm, stay positive, and thank you for being a wonderful part of our community!
Love,
Mrs. Mills (Richey)
