Letter from Mrs. Anderson
Dear Bobcat Families:
I hope that you are enjoying your Spring Break! Habit 7, “Sharpen the Saw”, shares with us the importance of daily self-renewal and taking care of our physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual self. I hope you are taking the time to relax and enjoy time off with your families.
Save the date! You are invited to our Eden Park campus on Tuesday, April 2nd from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Please join us in your child’s classroom to review their progress this school year and share in the many accomplishments that our students have had this school year. Students will be leading the event by sharing their amazing work, sharing leadership roles within the classroom, and what they are most proud of at this point in the school year.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on campus on Monday, March 18th.
As always, thank you for your continued support.
In partnership,
Mrs. Anderson, Principal

Counselor Corner
Hello Bobcat Families,
In March, we celebrate HONESTY! At a very young age, children are capable of learning how to tell the truth. We want to work together with our families to practice telling the truth.
Here are some activities to practice honesty at home:
· Read: As a family, read one of the following books (found on Amazon) to practice honesty and truthfulness:
· Honesty Well: Fill a jar up with water. Put a nickel in the water. Say the nickel represents white lies. Cover the nickel with other coins. The other coins represent the truth. Talk about how it takes many times of telling the truth to gain trust again.
· Lie Snack: Give your child a small snack such as a chocolate-covered nut. Once they eat it, tell them to give it back to you. They will be confused. Talk about how once we tell a lie, we are unable to take it back. This will help them learn that they should always tell the truth.
· Sign Language: Practice saying “truthful” in sign language with the following steps—
o Closed hand with index finger extended touches mouth. Hand moves forwards and down while opening to rest on open up-turned palm of other hand.
Being truthful is one of the hardest skills to practice. So often, little white lies can be easier than the truth. By holding ourselves to this high standard, our children can see the value of honesty. Let’s all have a conversation of why it is important to tell the truth in schools, home, and in the community. As always, I appreciate all the support for our EPE kiddos!
Sincerely,
Kimberly Combes

We need your input!
Each year, CCPS receives federal funds to support eligible schools in our district. Feedback is valuable to us as we plan for the 2024-2025 school year.

How will we track this?
