Welcome Back!
Summer went by so fast and here we are back in school. It was such a joy to see all the smiling faces on the first day. Listed below are some friendly reminders and important information…
School begins promptly at 8:40 am. Students should not be in dropped off before 8:35. If you need to drop your child off before then, we offer School Age Child Care. They can be reached at 810-591-6083. If your child is late for school, we ask that you please accompany them into the building and sign them in at the office.
The morning is a very busy time for our staff and we want to provide you our full attention. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, please contact them to make an appointment. We appreciate your cooperation.
Parents are strongly encouraged to utilize bussing for their child as our parking lot can get quite congested during arrival and dismissal. If you choose to drop off your child, we encourage you to use the drop-off lane. When dropping off your student, please be sure they exit the vehicle from the right side with all of their belongings ready to go. Please do not park in the drop-off to retrieve items for your child. If you must help your child from the vehicle, we ask that you use the front parking lot. Please pull all the way to the end of the drop-off line and wait for the car to pull up in front of you. Students may be dropped off along the entire length of the front sidewalk.
If you plan to pick up your child, please pick children up at 3:50 in the gym. Parents will need to go to door #19 or #20 which will be opened at 3:50. A staff member will check your child out to you. Please remember your fast pass. Due to students moving in the halls and transitioning to the pick up areas, we can not accomodate pick ups from the office after 3:30 p.m. The bus lane is also off limits to vehicles after 3:30. Please come before 3:30 p.m. or you will be asked to wait until 3:50 p.m. to the pick up doors near the gym. Thank you for understanding.
I look forward to a great year!
Educationally yours,
Jamie Wagner

Rocket Run!!
Each year the PTO plans a lot of events for our families. We like to keep the costs of these events as low as possible. In order to do that we do have to fundraise. Our biggest fundraiser of every year is our Rocket Run. This is a school wide fundraiser where prizes are awarded in each grade level. In the past we had students raise a specific amount to qualify for the larger prize of a party after school hours. However this year we are setting a school wide goal. Every dollar raised counts towards our goal of $15,000. If we reach our school wide goal by the date of the Rocket Run, the PTO will be holding a Glow Party with everyone invited!!
Packets with additional information went home in your classroom packets at Open House. If you were unable to attend Open House, look for your packet to come home during the first week. Once again this year online donations will be accepted and encouraged. See below for the online donation link. Copy and paste the link on Facebook, in emails and texts to encourage more people to donate. Make sure to tell your friends and family to include your students name when making online donations. We will also accept Venmo payments.
