Celebrations of Learning
Hello Sharks!
The time is here for our Celebrations of Learning. This week, 6th graders will share their first Celebrations of Learning. Our 8th graders will complete their Celebrations of VIDA, taking a look back at their time in middle school and reflecting on what they have learned. We are so excited to celebrate their growth and hear their unique stories. COL's/COV's will take place on 3/12 and 3/13. Please let us know if you have any questions!
Vista Unified LCAP Parent Input Survey!
We need your help! It is time to see what is working, not working, and what needs are not being met for the actions and services being provided to our students in VUSD! We will share the community themes out publicly at the April 17th Board Meeting! Please CLICK HERE to provide your input on how best to support our students!
It's Time for CHKS
Your child is being asked to be a part of our school’s California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), sponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE). This is a very important survey that will help promote better health and well-being among our youth, improve the school learning environment, and combat problems such as drug abuse and violence. Your child does not have to take the survey. Parent info letters will be handled out to students on Wednesday, February 19th. Please CLICK HERE to read more about the CHKS process for 6th graders. Please CLICK HERE to read more about the CHKS process for 7th and 8th graders.
6th graders need to be opted into taking the survey in order to participate. If you would like to opt your 6th grader into the California Healthy Kid Survey CLICK HERE.
7th and 8th graders will participate in the survey unless they are opted out. If you would like to opt your 7th or 8th grader out of the California Healthy Kid Survey CLICK HERE.

VIDA Student Forum Tour
On Tuesday, January 21st, a group of 6th and 7th grade VIDA Sharks attended a tour of our new campus at 2245 Foothill Drive.
The students explored the campus and began the component of Design Thinking we call "Discovery". The students took notes on the guided tour and shared things they were excited about, nervous about, and asked questions.
The field trip was overwhelmingly positive and the students were very excited about the campus!
We will continue to host more VIDA Sharks during our student forums at our new campus as we head into the 2025-2026 school year.
Friendly Reminder: Cell Phone and Technology Policy
In order to align with VUSD guidelines, middle schools have updated their cell phone policy. Please review VIDA's policy above.
